Who we are

We are a British marketplace built around one simple idea: most of what anyone needs already exists, sitting unused in someone else’s home. Preloved connects the person who no longer needs something with the person who does, locally and simply, without auctions or gimmicks.

Our heritage

Preloved has been part of British second-hand life since 1998 — long before "sustainable shopping" was a phrase anyone used. What began as a small classifieds site has grown into one of the UK’s largest marketplaces, with millions of members and hundreds of thousands of listings across more than 500 categories. Through all of it, the heart of the site has stayed the same: real people, passing good things on.
